The surface everything happens on.
Countertops take more abuse than any other surface in your home. We help you pick the material that matches how you cook — and install it with tight seams and clean edges.

Quartz
Engineered stone: non-porous, never needs sealing, and consistent from slab to slab. Modern quartz does convincing marble looks without marble’s staining anxiety. It handles daily life beautifully — just don’t put screaming-hot pots directly on it.
Granite
Real natural stone, each slab one of a kind, and more heat-tolerant than quartz. It needs periodic sealing to resist stains. If you love natural variation and don’t mind a little maintenance, granite is timeless.
Butcher block & wood
Warm, renewable, and kind to knives — wonderful for islands and prep zones. It needs regular oiling and quick wipe-ups, and it will develop character. Many of our favorite kitchens pair wood on the island with stone on the perimeter.
Edges, thickness & waterfall details
Eased and bullnose edges are classic and forgiving; mitered edges fake a thick slab from thinner material. A waterfall edge runs the stone down the side of an island for a furniture-grade look. Seams are placed where they disappear — we plan slab layout before cutting.

Caring for your investment
Quartz: soap and water, no sealing needed. Granite: reseal when water stops beading. Wood: oil regularly and wipe spills promptly. All stone: use trivets for hot pots and cutting boards for knives.
Questions, answered
Quartz or granite — which should I choose?
Quartz for zero maintenance and consistency; granite for natural character and heat tolerance. Both are excellent — it comes down to how you cook and what you love looking at.
Will I see the seams?
A good fabricator plans seams where they hide — near sinks, cooktops, or corners — and matches veining across them. Ask to see the seam layout before cutting; we always show you.
Can you cut directly on quartz or granite?
You can, but your knives will hate you. Use a cutting board and your edges stay sharp and your counters stay flawless.
How much do countertops cost?
